Joanna LU

Joanna has 20+ year’s Marketing Leadership

and Global marketing experience. A seasoned marketer and a high motivated business leader with proven business record.  She currently

holds the position of The Coca-Cola company, Global Marketing director.

Since she joined Coca-Cola China in 2006 as China Still Marketing director, Joanna has demonstrated strong marketing skills and leadership by consistently creating value for our brands & business,  including making Minute Maid Pulpy into one billion USD brand and launching the first value-added dairy product in the history of the company.

Joanna was transfer to Korea to serve as Coca-Cola Korea Marketing director in 2011-2012, during which She has successfully managed Korea business full portfolio double digital growth momentum as well as M&A with Korea No. 4 biggest beverage company. She was also passionate about developing local talent and building a world-class marketing team in Korea.

In early 2013, Joanna returned to China to lead the marketing team for sparkling beverages.  She and her team has worked closely with China whole system , developed “Shengli” sparkling strategy and successfully translated into brand building plans and portfolio innovations including “Share a Coke I/II” as well as Schweppes +C launch etc. Under Joanna’s Leadership, China Sparkling business has delivered strong growth momentum to achieve all time high share in last 15 years and contribute 50%+ Global sparkling incremental growth. The team’s marketing capability excellence has been well recognized in China – won 42 marketing awards in 2014 and Joanna also nominated as Ad Age’s 2014 list of “Women to Watch China”.

Joanna moved to Atlanta in mid 2016, the Coca-Cola company headquarter to serve as marketing director. She has taken different responsibilities for strategy development across different brand portfolios.

Recently in 2017, Joanna has returned to China and took China CMO role since July. She is leading the team to further step up world-class capability for Marketing in the Digital Era.

Prior joint Coca-Cola, Joanna has held a variety of marketing leadership positions in Unilever China, establishing a winning track record across multi-categories.

Joanna holds a BA in Biophysics and an MBA from Fudan University in China.
