Georg Warga is a Creative Director and Filmmaker. He was born in Graz, Austria and for the past twelve years lived in Beijing and more recently in Shanghai. In 2010 he founded GOODSTEIN (, an award winning creative agency specialized in entertainment and innovation for brands that want to surpass the traditional paid media model.

In his twenty+ years of advertising experience he worked for agencies such as Ogilvy, Proximity and Interone Worldwide covering brands such as BMW, MINI, Volkswagen, Citroën, BOSCH, IBM, Vodafone, Bank Austria, Nestlé and Unilever.

In the years 2005-2010 he was Executive Creative Director for BMW launching every single BMW model into the Chinese market. He also launched the BMW 3 Series and the BMW 7 Series globally.

In 2011 he invented the co-creation platform ‘The People’s Car Project’ for Volkswagen. A project that has won him and his agency national and international accolades in Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, London International, DMA, Epica, Effies, John Caples and AME.

In December 2012 he was voted Creative Person of the Year by Campaign Magazine which recognized him both as creative leader and pioneer in the social media landscape of China. In 2013 he won the first ever Gold for China in Branded Entertainment at the Cannes International Advertising Festival making his agency GOODSTEIN one of the most awarded independent creative agencies in China to date. He was recognized as top 100 creative people in China living today, by Fast Company Magazine and was made Digital A-List by Campaign Magazine.
Since 2015 he directs commercials for Brands such as VW, Huawei, Tencent and works on his own IP.
